Monday- May 25th we had visits from Grandma and I fell asleep on my tummy holding her finger. We also got visits from Grammie and Gramps and they brought stuff over to have a cookout and we enjoyed the afternoon together.

Tuesday- the 26th my mom came over and visited with us (we enjoy having her over) I don't think she has missed but 2 days seeing Addison. Today is daddy's last day of vacation and we decided to venture out and get her some curtains for her room. I had looked online and the curtains that I want from Pottery Barn on on back order so we had to go with step 2.... going to bed bath and beyond. Her first store and shopping experience! We got her pink curtains (alittle too pink) but they will work!

We also went to visit Dzie Dzie today and he saw his great-great- granddaugther today. He showed her off to all of his friends and the doctors and nursing staff.

Wednesday- The 27th- Today was an adventure for us (mama is getting cabin fever and needs to get out of the house) we went grocery shopping for the first time. I was very smart on where I parked the car- next to a cart return so I could put her in the cart as soon as I got out of the car... well needless to say the parking lot sucked and her head bounced/jiggled as I wheeled her into the store.. poor thing. She woke up but went back to sleep. As I was shopping, I thought of Jeremy as I could only put so much in the cart as her car seat was in there.... I couldn't put her on top as I couldn't see over as to where I was going so I put her in the basket part. She did great in the store and then we were half way home and she decided she had enough of our adventure. I got home and fed her and she was happy.

Today was Dzie Dzie's 84th birthday and we visited him again today and had cake with him. We had to go to Dzie Dzie's room for a diaper change and a feeding and my dad came with us. We were able to capture the picture he has been wanting which is his big toe with her foot... he has one of me when I was Addie's age and he wanted to do the same. It came out so cute!

Daddy didn't join us today as he was playing basketball.

Thursday- May 28th- We started the morning off by a visit from Nancy. Addie got her first purse from Nancy and it just is so perfect, along with some adorable outfits and a suitcase that says "going to Grandma's"! I know that she is going to love spending the night at Grammies one day and will have her suitcase to go with!!! I was so happy that Nancy and Addie got to meet as Nancy is a very special person in mama's life and always will be.

As you can tell my mom is on "vacation" from school... she still does work , but I like the fact that she is a teacher and is taking the summer "off" to be with me and Addie. it is a great bonding times for her and me and Addie. Time that we will never get back and so thankful we get to spend them together! So I asked my mom if she wanted to go shopping and she said sure... my shopping meant keeping Addie in the car and then running into a store. I had some shopping to do at Babies R Us and then I wanted to look for her christening outfit. We went to a boutique called Hugs from Heaven in Granger to see if they had any outfits. I went into the store while my mom stayed in the car with Addie. As I picked out the outfit, I asked the lady if I could put at the counter and have my mom come in because it was going to be Grammie's treat for Addie to purchase her gown for her special day. The lady said take it to her in the car.... I couldn't believe it. She let me walk out the store, show my mom... so sweet of her. my mom also reminded me that she needed an outfit for her reception so I picked one out too and grammie treated again! Addie's first boutique experience and we will be going back there!!!

Friday- may 29th- so the past few nights Addison has been sleeping great... she has been doing a 10-3 spurt and then up around 5 or 6 again and then usually up for good around 8am. We are very lucky!!

Saturday- May 30th- We went over to Jeremy's parents house for a cookout. We had to do some Sam's club shopping and decided to pick up some groceries for a cookout and take it over to Jeremy's parents house. Adam and E and Harrison came over and we had a nice family time!

Sunday- May 31st- Addie's first trip to the mall and using her stroller. I had gift cards that I have received as gifts for her and wanted to use them. I was dying to go get outfits for her and do some mama shopping. Daddy had so much fun with the stroller and carting her around. He was one proud daddy whipping that stroller around. Addie did great too!!! no fussing at all!!! She is such a good baby and I am not saying that because she is my daughter, I truly do mean that!!!

So this past week, Addie is starting to smile a little more... still not the full blown out smile when she sees you, but its getting close!! I can't wait for that first... I see you mommy and love you smile! Also Addie is now in Stage 1 diapers...

May 18th- This week we started off with daddy on vacation!!! Needless to say I didn't realize that meant daddy was doing housework and chores which did help out alot! We started today off by receiving a visit from Aunt Julie, Aunt Lisa and Grandma. We remembered grandma Swartz today.

we then went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house... her 1st real outing! We had pizza and just enjoyed. Addison and Harrison were in the pack and play that they have at Grandma's house and they were so cute together. Harrison is probably 2-3 pounds bigger than Addie and you can tell from the pics. They are so cute together because they touch each others hands and just are kicking their legs!!!

may 19th- Tuesday- Since daddy is on vacation I took advantage of that and went shopping with my mom and did dinner with her too. I spent 3 hours away from my Little one. I did check in three times to see how she was doing and the third time Jeremy was like you might want to come home now and I was on my way.

May 20th- Wednesday-today our little one turned 1 month!!! I can't believe it. time flies by so fast. I took some pictures of her sitting in our living room chair..her legs look so long in the pics!
Some things that I have noticed about Addison...

she loves naked time (takes after me on this)
she doesn't like a pacifier. I didn't either as a baby

she loves to kick her right leg and million times.
she spreads her toes like I do
she wrinkles her forehead like I do (she is going to have some expression lines when she gets older....not wrinkles)
she stretches just like daddy does
she makes noises in her sleep and when she is eating like my dad
she has a double chin now (thanks to breastfeeding) - she is taking after gramps on this one!
she knows the dogs and they don't phase her one bit when they check her out
when addie wants her food she wants it now... she has my patience level.... none!
she puckers her lips just like daddy.

her sleeping schedule is good I think for being 1 month old. I don't wake her at night time for a feeding..she will wake me with no problem. So we usually go to bed around 10-10:30 and she sleeps to about 1:30-2:30ish... and then up at 4 and then up around 6/7am.

May 21st- Thursday- we went to visit Aunt Joan and Uncle Joe today. They were so excited to see her! it was her first trip to Michigan today and she did great in the car... it was a 45 minute drive and she did awesome! Kojak decided to give her lots of kisses and liked licking her feet alot. Addison didn't mind at all.... thanks to her 3 doggies at home!

May 22nd- Friday- Today was a busy day for us. We went to Crowe as I was receiving lots of requests to bring her in. She was asleep so we just left her in her car seat. We stopped work for about a good 30 minutes... it was a good break for everyone! We then went to Babies R US for more shopping... however daddy did the shopping as I fed her in the car. My first experience in "public". We also felt like hillbillies as we changed her in the back of the Jeep (twice). We then did lunch in the car... since it was around lunch time and we were by Grandma's work we decided to go visit her and bring Addison in as a surprise! She was so happy!! Jeremy then wanted to see if he could get the lawnmower serviced so we went over by his parents house. Along the way we stopped in to see Elizabeth and Harrison. We went to the lawnmower place and then Jeremy had to do a return at Meijer.... Addison was hungry again so I fed her for the second time in the car that day and changed her too! I called my mom since she was done with school but still at work and we took Addison in for her to meet her Riley aunts. We were there for about 2 hours and she was all over Riley high school meeting everyone! I even had to feed her in my moms room since she was hungry again. She did great as we were gone for about 6.5 hours.

May 23rd- Saturday- Aunt Laur came over today and it was such a good visit. She got Addie her first handmade Notre Dame & Saint Mary's blanket. it is perfect for her and I just hope that she goes to one of those schools!

We took a trip to Grammie and Gramps' house and daddy and Gramps went and got Redamac's for us. I have missed Redamac's so mama was happy. I can't wait to take Addison there. I grew up with it and so will she! Jeremy mentioned that we can take her to the beach next time we go up there as it will be warmer for her.

I've been behind on the blog due to Bob/Russeau spilling Apple Juice on it and then I picked my computer up by the screen and have a nice thumb print on it... so these few weeks will be short!

we had both grandma's visit on Tuesday this week. They had to get their Addison fix!

I was busy getting the birth announcements and baptism announcements out this week. I was on a mission to get them done with a sleeping baby. It was good because Addison and I got out of the house to go meet daddy at work and then we ran to the post office so I could get them out!

We also stopped by western vet on the way home because we received phone calls and also a card from them. They are so sweet considering that they take care of my other 3 babies every 6 to 8 weeks for their grooming.

Thursday May 14th-

We started out the morning with a visit from Debbie. It was so great to see her and for her to meet Addison!

we had our baptism class for Addison and my mom watched Addison. This is the first time that we left Addison without either one of us. I was better than I thought I would be. I didn't call. We were only gone for 1.5 hours and it seemed like it was days, but I knew she was in good hands with Grammie. Grammie just held her the whole time.

she slept good except for Friday night- out of the routine... she was up every hour from 11-2 and then finally slept 2-5:50 and then up at 7:15.

We got her the bob stroller... mama had a fun shopping day last week and it was great... the UPS guy knows us from the maternity days and now 4 days in a row that I have received stuff in the mail.

Addison is finally starting to show more facial expressions... still no "smile' yet. I can't wait for that to happen.
