So after Addie's first night in a hotel room, which she started out with her feet in Jeremy's face! She did pretty good. She did want to sleep perpendicular to us at times and I had to move her, but it made it fun and a night to remember. We stayed at the Marriott on 22nd street in Oak brook. The drive to the zoo was about 20 minutes or less and very easy!
We went to McDonald's for breakfast and then we were off to the zoo! We owe this trip to Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Adam because they won tickets at a charity event and got them and invited us. So thank you to them!!!
So after we arrived, we made our way to start seeing the animals. the kids did great in the beginning with the double stroller that we borrowed from my neighbor, We entered at the North gate first and went to the camels, giraffe's, etc. The giraffe's were so close and were running around and playing in the exhibit. About this time is when Addie decided that she was going to be clingy/fussy for awhile. She didn't want to ride in the stroller anymore and wanted to be carried a majority of the time. alittle bit in her defense was that it was hot out (upper 90's) and not as much sleep as she usually gets, plus she was hungry. Auntie Elizabeth had some cheerios that helped out a bit!! thank you for that! we made our way to see some bears. There was one that was super active and swimming in the water and trying to break these bones. It was very entertaining to watch a bear swim and play in the water.
After seeing some of the animals, I've highlighted a few below that I thought was awesome!
