Breakfast with Santa

December 21st- We had breakfast with Santa at Addie's school and it was so much fun. We started with an activity in her classroom of decorating cookies. Addie had a blast doing this. We also did decorating snowflake ornaments. We then decided it was time to open up presents from Santa in the classroom. the kids had a blast of doing this and played with the toys that they opened.

Next it was time for Breakfast with Santa. We went to the church basement and their were decorated tables with plates of food for all the kids and parents who attended. How nice of them! After we ate, Santa arrived!!!

The nursery kids went first and then Addie's room went. The kids were so excited and Addie ran right up to Santa and sat on his lap! I was so proud of her. She received a book and toy from Santa. She proudly ran back to Grammie and showed her. It was adorable.

I am so happy that Addie's school believes in God and proudly does all of these traditions, especially since it is Christmas and we need to remember the birth of Jesus!

Christmas with the Miller's

We celebrate our intimate family Christmas tonight with Grandma, Papa, Auntie Elizabeth, Uncle Adam, Harrison and Lucy. We had an awesome roast and then it was time for Santa to arrive. Harrison was all about Santa coming to the door and then getting his present. Addison was nice and content in my arms and then once she saw Harrison get a present, she was all about it. Lucy wasn't so sure and she was fine with just watching.

The kids had a blast opening up presents. We had a few meltdowns from Addie if her toy was taken, but then it was recovered and we were back to the Christmas spirit. I think the best part for the kids was after all the presents were open, we did a dance party in Grandma and Papa's living room.

Lydick Christmas Program

December 16th-

We enjoyed Addie's Christmas program at her school tonight. She was a dove and the cutest dove at that! The program lasted about 30 minutes. All the kids did wonderful and the parents were all so good to listen to their little voices as they did their performance. the teachers worked so hard on this play and they did great! For the past several weeks we were practicing the songs with Addie, for instance they were Go tell it on the mountain, Joy to the World, We wish you a Merry Christmas, J-E-S-U-S was his nameo, etc.

I think Addie's favorites were JESUS was his nameo and Go tell it on the Mountain.. oh and she did like baby in a manager so she could do guide the wise man from afar (she puts her hand up t her head and looks "afar"...baby Jesus born tonight and he lays quiet (does the rocking a baby motion with her hands and then does the shush with her fingers on her mouth).

Grammie, Gramps, Uncle Mitch, Aunt Lorissa, Matty, Shelly, Grandma, Papa and Auntie Elizabeth all joined in celebrating my first school performance!!! Thank you for coming!!!
