Navy Pier

July 8th- We made it a Miller family vacation and headed up to Navy Pier today with Grandma and Papa. We left the house around 11 and by the time we arrived at Navy Pier, walked around and decided where to eat, we were ready for some grub. We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp. It was the first time that anyone had been there. It was a blast and I thought the food was good, however I wish they had lunch portions available since we were traveling. After eating lunch it was time to meet up with Adam, Elizabeth, Harrison and Lucy. Once we did, Harrison and Addison did the cutest thing ever and hugged and then held hands for a little bit throughout the park. It was so cute and so adorable! After making our way inside again, we went to the Children's Museum there. the kids had lots of fun playing and exploring the exhibits. I think their favorite was the fire truck area, the kiddie area that had a fishing pond and a slide. I think it was a great age to take the 2 year olds. There was even a few things for Lucy to do too!

After the children's museum, we were going to do some of the rides at Navy Pier, but the lines were long so we passed them up and decided to head to our hotel for the evening, which was in Oak Brook. This is where the fun begins.... of course there were detours all over the place.... let's just say a 2o mile trip turned into about an hour after the detours and the 10 MPH traffic on 290! We finally made it to the hotel and checked in. Then we went to Portillo's for dinner.

All in all, I think the kids had a great, fun day today! Addie was really good today. (unlike her trip the Brookfield zoo... )
